I am finally honoring the beautiful collections of Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear shown in New York City last week. And what a week it was! One hundred forty designers bid a formidable adieu to Bryant Park, sending fresh, energizing looks down the 2010 runway before the move to the Lincoln Center next season. The fall collections of the new decade largely evoked the ubiquitous mid-recession label "optimistic". At the risk of buying into over-simplified buzz phrases, with the ballerina skirts, ankle socks, and fresh-faced models sweetly sauntering down the catwalk, it was indeed a bright perspective in a shadowy economic time. Here are the highlights of the season with my favorite looks. Enjoy!
