TAYLOR SWiFT iN J. MENDEL AT THE 2012 ACM AWARDS

As poked fun of during last night's Academy of Country Music awards show, Taylor Swift retains a giddy gratitude and naive wonder toward her mega success as an entertainer. Youthful and carefree, she seems the least diva-like celebrity in the world, the last person you would expect to make demands or have strange stipulations. But there are a few things Taylor is known to be a stickler for, albeit a sweet stickler. She won't do a nude lip. She won't do a sleeve, not even a sleeveless one. And she won't step out in anything that doesn't have a bead, sequin, or otherwise princess-y look.

But the singer broke all her rules on the ACM red carpet last night in a sleek J. Mendel Fall 2012 gown. With warm make-up, a bateau neckline, and  a single slash of gold serving as the only shimmer, Taylor looked fresh and stunningly sophisticated. Subtle cut-outs made the gown breathtaking, while simple straight hair streamlined the look. On her model-like body, this could have been Karlie Kloss walking straight out of the show... except Karlie isn't the 2012 Entertainer of the Year.
